Located in the Ministry Center at 279 Hamilton Street, the St. John Paul II food pantry serves over 350 households on a monthly basis. Singles, families, and seniors make up our biggest group and number nearly 1,000 individuals served every month.

In working on our mission to alleviate hunger in our community, many chores need to be accomplished. We are always looking for volunteers at our Food Pantry. 

• Shopping Crew: These special people are on the road several times per week, especially Tuesdays, picking up perishable and non-perishable food for the pantry. This job entails loading and unloading thousands of pounds of food.
• Pantry Crew: These dedicated people sort, stock, and monitor non-perishable items, fresh produce, dairy, and frozen foods. They also keep the pantry and store clean and tidy. 
• Intake Desk: Here volunteers maintain records for those enrolled in the pantry and record usage on an individual basis. This information is submitted to the Worcester County Food Bank as required by State and Federal food assistance programs.
• Leaders and Shoppers: These gracious people work directly with our guests. They help with shopping, recipe ideas, making choices, loading carts, and maneuvering around the pantry store.
